Card Scanner Reserve
Now taking reservations

Photograph 35 cards while you do something else.

Card Scanner is a desktop machine that takes clean, glare-free photos of the front and back of every card in a top loader, one after another, by itself. Load a stack, flip the switch, and the photos are waiting on your phone, cropped and ready to list.

Reserve yours, free

Reserving costs nothing and doesn't commit you. We'll tell you the price before anyone pays.

Why it exists

Your time is worth more than flipping cards

Taking good listing photos by hand means setting up light, fighting the glare on every top loader, photographing both sides and cropping them. Card Scanner does all of it while you pack orders, research prices, or step away.

By hand~35 min
  • About a minute per card: place, shoot, flip, shoot, crop
  • Glare from the top loader in half the shots
  • Front and back photos to match up afterwards
Card Scanner~6 min
  • A full stack of 35, start to finish, with you nowhere near it
  • Glare-free lighting on every card
  • Front and back already paired, cropped and named

Times for 35 cards. The hand estimate is a typical phone-and-lamp setup; the scanner time comes from the design and testing, about 10 seconds per card.

How it works

Four steps, one switch

01

Load

Stack up to 35 cards in standard 3"×4" top loaders, face up, in the hopper. A blank plate on top pushes the last card through.

02

Flip

Flip the switch on the machine or press Start on your phone. It runs on its own battery, so it works anywhere on your desk.

03

Shoot

Each card stops inside a closed, dark light box. Two cameras photograph the front and back under polarised light, so the plastic doesn't shine.

04

Done

The next card nudges the last one into the bin. When the stack runs out, it stops by itself and the photos are ready.

Front and back, always together

Photos that look the same, every card

Every card is shot square-on from the same distance under the same light, so your listings look consistent. The pictures are cropped to the top loader, turned upright, and named with the batch and position in the stack, so nothing gets mixed up.

What you get

Run it all from your phone

The scanner has its own app that opens in any browser on your home Wi-Fi. Nothing to install.

Live view

Watch both cameras live, with an outline showing exactly where the top loader sits.

Progress and battery

Card count, time per card, battery level, and each card's front and back as it's taken.

Batches

Every stack is saved as a batch you can name, flip through card by card, and tidy up.

Ready to list

Photos are cropped to the top loader and turned upright. Use them on eBay or anywhere else.

Export

Download a whole batch as a zip, or a spreadsheet of the cards in it.

Questions

Good to know

How much does it cost?

The price isn't set yet. Everyone on the reserve list hears it first, before anyone is asked to pay.

Is reserving a commitment?

No. It's free and you can say no when we contact you. It just holds your place in line.

When will it ship?

The prototype is being printed and tested now. We'll give reserved buyers a date once the final version is confirmed.

Does it take raw cards?

It's built around top loaders, which keep cards flat and safe. Slide raw cards into a standard top loader first.

What about graded slabs or thick top loaders?

Not in this version. Slabs, magnetic holders and thick (55pt and up) top loaders are too thick for the feed.

Does it need the internet?

No. Scanning works on your home Wi-Fi without the internet. Only the optional AI card details go online.

Where do the photos go?

They stay on the scanner and show up in the app. Download them whenever you like, as a zip or one by one.

Can I use the photos in my listings?

Yes. They're your photos, cropped and ready for eBay, Whatnot or anywhere else.
